YGL Boston: Referee a Volleyball Game for Playworks Boston

Date: Multiple Dates throughout March (Tues or Wed or Thurs)---Games begin March 7th

Time: Time commitment is about 1 hour (games start between 5:30 and 7-you only need to stay for one game)

Locations: Four Separate Locations-Allston, East Boston, Dorchester, Jamaica Plain (see more details below)

Playworks Boston’s mission is to improve the health and well-being of children by increasing opportunities for physical activity and safe, meaningful play. They run a co-ed volleyball league for children starting in March. They are looking for volunteers to officiate at their short night games. No prior volleyball knowledge is needed!

They only require that you reinforce a fun atmosphere and be very supportive of the players. All refs will receive a brief training before their first game. The time commitment for this event is as short or as long as you would like to make it. Each location will have about four games a night. If interested you would sign up to ref for just one game at whatever time/location is most convenient for you. 1. Jackson Mann Community Center (500 Cambridge St, Allston)

2 .Donald McKay Elementary Gym (122 Cottage St, East Boston)

3. Perkins Community Center (155 Talbot Ave, Dorchester)

4. Hennigan Community Community Center Gym (200 Heath St, Jamaica Plains)
