YGL has the opportunity to volunteer with EPA New England as a member of the Green team. Green team members play an active role in helping the Red Sox and their fans realize the goal of a more environmentally-friendly Fenway experience.

We are seeking volunteers to attend Red Sox games on their own time to be a part of a recycling Green Team. You will be at Fenway for the game, walking through the stands with large plastic bags encouraging fans to recycle their plastic soda/water bottles, and plastic cups. You will need to arrive at Fenway Park at least one hour ahead of game time.

You will be expected to remain in the park as a Green Team recycler until the end of the 7th Inning. You are, of course, welcome to stay for the remainder of the game if you choose to.

NEW THIS YEAR: Participants must be 18 years of age or older, due to the possibility of interacting with intoxicated and/or unruly fans at Fenway. Red Sox Green Team participants will be given instructions and orientation by Red Sox staff. You will also be given a "Red Sox Green Team" tee shirt to wear while in the stands of Fenway Park, to identify you as a Green Team member. You will also receive a voucher from the Red Sox for a complimentary Fenway Frank and a soda or bottle of water.

Red Sox Green Team members are not permitted to drink beer or other alcoholic beverages while volunteering. You are not expected to perform crowd control while on the Green Team.

Further details are contained in a Red Sox information packet that will be provided to all volunteers.
