On Saturday, July 30th, the members of the YGL are invited to act like kids again in all of the wacky olympic games we remember from our childhood. Some of the events include sack races, the water balloon toss, off-hand softball throw, and the tug-o-war! The games are set to take place at Columbus Park (the UMass Boston public fields) located at 165 William J. Blvd. Boston, MA and will begin at 11:00AM. For those in the city, it’s a short walk from the JFK/UMass T stop on the Red Line.

Competitors will be charged a $5 donation or $10 if you would like a t-shirt. Spectators are humbly asked to make a donation as well, as all monies raised will be donated to Community Servings. CS is a local non-profit group who provides meals for individuals and families that have contract terminal illnesses’ here in the Bay State. After the event we typically venture to a nearby pub to celebrate the winners. Everyone is welcome to attend, come and play or watch and cheer. If you are interested in attending, making a donation, or have questions, please contact either Tom Fawcett at thomas.fawcett@ci.irs.gov or Jessica Foley at jessica.foley@nlrb.gov. Once we know who is coming we can co-ordinate rides or a meeting place.
