YGL Boston will be making about 100 goody bags for birthday wishes. Birthday wishes hosts birthday parties for children living in shelters. We need about four volunteers to help organize, sort and stuff goody bags. How often do you get the chance to enjoy art and ice skate at the same time? On January 29, we'll meet at the National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden to go skating on their open air ice rink. Debates on the values of diversity and the empowerment and advancement of women have raged for centuries, but when it comes to gender equality, few achievements can compare with the rising role of women in government. The public sector's openness to women serves as a model for the private sector, and ultimately for women as a global workforce, but the path to achieving gender parity has been slow and uneven.
At this working meeting, an invitation-only group will examine five of those aspirations in depth, with the goal of identifying strategies to ensure that the Pathways Programs address the future leadership and human capital needs of the federal government:
